Contact us
Canvless is built and run by AAK Studio LLC, a New Jersey company founded by a working law-enforcement officer. There's no call center. You'll get a person.
Signing in
I didn't get my code.
Codes come from [email protected] and expire in ten minutes. Check spam, then tap "Send a new code". Agency mail filters sometimes hold the first message for a few minutes. If nothing arrives after three tries, email us from the address on your account.
The app says "Subscription needed" or "Locked".
A payment failed, or you canceled. Go to your account page on this site and pay. The app opens again immediately; tap "Check again". If your department has a plan, email [email protected] and we'll add you to it.
It says another phone is enrolled.
Each account works on one phone. Sign in on the new phone and it becomes your device; you get two moves every 90 days. If you've used them, use a recovery code, or email us.
Verification
Which method should I use?
An agency email on a law-enforcement domain is instant. If your agency uses a shared town or county domain, or you'd rather use a personal email, upload a credential: AAK Studio staff review it within one business day and then delete it. Or verify with GovX ID, instant for current law-enforcement employees.
I was declined.
The email you received says why. Most declines are a personal email trying the agency-email path, or a credential that didn't show a current status. Upload a clearer credential, or reply to the email from an agency address.
Why might I be asked to re-verify?
So the map stays limited to people who currently work in law enforcement. If we ask, verify again the same way you did the first time. If you can't, we end your access and cancel your subscription, so you're never charged for time you can't use.
Billing
How much is it?
$3.99 a month or $39.99 a year, charged when you subscribe. There is no free trial. Departments can buy a one-time plan with lifetime access that covers everyone. "Lifetime" means for as long as Canvless operates (the details are in section 4 of the terms); see pricing.
How do I cancel?
From your account page, any time. Access continues to the end of the period you paid for.
Why don't I pay in the app?
Canvless is a web service: you verify, subscribe and manage your account on canvless.app, and a department can cover everyone with one invoice. The free app signs you in to the same account.
I need a receipt or an invoice.
Receipts are emailed after every charge. For a department invoice, W-9 or vendor paperwork, email [email protected].
Lost or new phone
Lost or stolen: go to your account page, sign in with a code, and tap "Report phone lost or stolen". Its key is revoked that minute, even if someone has the phone unlocked. Enrolling your next phone won't count as a device move.
New phone: just sign in on it. The old one stops working.
Delete your account
In the app: Settings → Delete account. On the web: email [email protected] from the address on your account. We delete your account and personal details within 30 days. Cameras you added stay on the map under the label "former subscriber", because other officers rely on them. Details in the privacy policy.
Using the map
Why is a pin hollow, or faded?
Hollow means only the person who added it has seen it; nobody has confirmed it yet. Faded means nobody has checked it in six months. Tap "Still here" when you're within 150 meters (about 500 feet) to confirm it.
A camera is gone, or moved.
Open its card and log "Moved" or "Removed". Two independent "Removed" reports retire the camera.
Can I add cameras from the web app?
Yes. They're flagged "added from web" until someone confirms them on the ground. "Still here" checks are phone-only, because they need your location.
Something on a pin is wrong.
Open the card and edit it. Edits are versioned under your name so everyone can see what changed.
Report a problem
Bug, crash or something that looks like a leak: [email protected]. Include your account email, your phone model and what you were doing. Never include case information.
